About
About AFPolicy
I work on education and economic policy, with a focus on inequality. I help organisations turn evidence into policy that actually works in practice.
My Approach
Data-driven decision-making should be a necessity, not a luxury. Evidence-based research is the foundation of good policy, and I believe numbers tell a story when they are communicated well. My approach pairs rigorous analysis with clear communication, so the evidence actually reaches the people who act on it.
About Me
My background is in education. After earning my undergraduate degree at Michigan State University, I spent five years teaching elementary school in the Midwest. I then left the classroom to continue my own education, earning a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago's Harris School with a certificate in Policy Analysis.
That path, from the classroom to policy, is what I bring to this work. I have seen how policy actually lands in practice, not just on paper, and I know that even well-designed policy falls short when it is not communicated clearly or built around the people it affects. Meeting people where they are is not a soft skill. It is what makes implementation work.
